About
When I was a kid, I doodled a lot. I wanted to be a cartoonist. It was the only thing I ever wanted to be. That, or a zookeeper. When I got to high school, I gave up on that dream because my art teacher didn’t think I was anything special. I took drama instead. I decided I wanted to be a writer. But, I kept doodling.
When I got to college, I was an English major. On a whim, I took an art class. I learned to do a little more than doodle and discovered that I was in fact something special. So, I stopped doodling and majored in Art. When college ended, I wanted to be a painter.
I didn’t become a painter. Or a writer, or a cartoonist, or a zookeeper. Instead, I became a secretary. I wasn’t very good at that. Then I did customer service at an internet company. Then I fell into Marketing and Online Advertising, and ten unfulfilling years later, I was laid off.
Now I’m unemployed and I’m going to be a painter. Here is my blog about it.
