Another Finished Painting!

Unfortunately, I went for a run around Greenlake instead, then went to sushi, then my mom arrived for the night, then I obsessed over my blog stats and yesterday’s record number of views (I did this for quite a while, not gonna say how long). Long story short, I did not finish the painting. I’m off to Vail tomorrow, so the ALMOST finished pink painting will be waiting for me when I return on Sunday…
Happy April Fools Day. =)
The Pressure of a Deadline
Posted: March 30, 2010 Filed under: Paintings in Progress, Portraits | Tags: acrylic, art show, Ballard Art Walk, Cat, Charcoal, deadline, paint palette, Painting in Progress, pressure of a deadline, sado-masochist, Teri, Vail 2 CommentsSo, you may have noticed that I have not posted in over a week. And I can’t even tell you why. I don’t even remember what I did last week, but it wasn’t art. And that is unacceptable! Especially when last week, I only had three weeks to put together enough paintings to show at the Ballard Art Walk. Now, I have less than TWO weeks to paint ALL the paintings I’m going to show with a 4-day trip to Vail in the middle of it all. I think that perhaps I am a closet sado-masochist, and subconsciously I decided to do nothing last week because I wanted to inflict as much emotional stress and pain upon myself as possible.
But, despite the pain, this two-week deadline has succeeded. Today, I started painting. Pink and Green are now in progress! …more to come tomorrow. =)
